As one of the oldest continuously performing arts organizations in Rockland County, NY, the Rockland County Choral Society is committed to:
Stimulating public interest and appreciation of the choral music art form,
Providing a source of enrichment and enjoyment for choral singers,
Offering to interested individuals an opportunity to perform musical compositions of varying repertoire and merit,
Performing at least two major works each concert season,
Bringing fine choral music to under served populations,
Fostering collaboration with other local performing arts organizations,
Providing employment and compensation to conductors, accompanists, musicians, soloists, and other who provide professional services in support of choral performances.
Originally formed in 1937 as part of the Rockland County Adult Education Program, the organization has evolved into one that offers a full spectrum of choral music.
